Chesterfield boss Lee Richardson is a happy man after persuading Nottingham Forest striker Jack Lester to join the Spireites. The 31-year-old was not offered a new deal at the City Ground and has opted to make the short switch to Saltergate, agreeing a three-year contract with Chesterfield. Richardson told his club's official website: "I am delighted Jack has agreed to join us as he is a quality player who had other options apart from Chesterfield." Sheffield-born Lester started his career with Grimsby Town and has had two spells with Forest, as well as spending just over a year with Sheffield United.
