Lee keeps Shrews at bay

Chesterfield produced a dogged display to hold Shrewsbury to a goalless draw at Greenhous Meadow. Tommy Lee was the busier of the two keepers as he saved well from Shrewsbury's new strike partnership of James Collins and Tom Bradshaw. But he saved the best of his first-half saves by denying Craig Disley when he was clean through. At the other end Deane Smalley squandered a good headed chance. The second half was packed with chances, with Lee again saving well from Collins and Bradshaw and Steve Leslie floating a free-kick onto the top of the net. Danny Whittaker was just over from 20 yards for the visitors but the miss of the match one minute from the end went to Smalley as he managed to lift the ball over from close range.
