He made over 40 appearances this season, contributing a few vital goals in the process, as Dale celebrated promotion to League One.

Antoni Sarcevic - Fleetwood Town

Having progressed through the Manchester City youth system from the age of seven to 15, Antoni signed for Crewe in 2010 before joining non league Chester, during which time he represented England C. His performances for Chester earned him a return to the Football League with Fleetwood and he will never forget his first league hat-trick in a 5-4 win against Mansfield last November.

Ian Henderson - Rochdale

Ian’s professional career has certainly not been without its ups and downs having come through the youth system at Norwich, for whom he represented in the Premier League. He led the race for the division’s golden boot for much of the season – ending the campaign with 23 league goals - and was among the nominees for League Two player of the year at the Football League awards.

Scott Hogan - Rochdale

After spells in the non league with the likes of Stockbridge and Hyde he returned to Rochdale last summer and has been scoring goals for fun this term – including two hat tricks in the space of three weeks as Dale get ready for life in League One.
