Knill calls on Spireites support

Newly-appointed Chesterfield assistant Alan Knill has urged Spireites fans to get behind manager Lee Richardson.
Richardson, who was handed the job on a permanent basis in April after being number two to former boss Roy McFarland, failed to keep the club in League One, but Knill believes the future is bright for the ailing Spireites.
"When Lee rang me and asked me to join him at Chesterfield I was very flattered and I jumped at it really," he told the club's official website.
"The most difficult role can be the assistant manager's job because you have to do what the manager wants even though you might not agree with it.
"From the outside there seemed to be a turning against Roy (McFarland), so it's easy to tar Lee with the same brush.
"But he's got his own ideas and now is the time for the supporters to give him a chance because he's got the job."
Meanwhile, Knill has confirmed that the Spireites are interested in signing Scunthorpe United midfielder Neil McKenzie.
