Loan midfielder Lloyd Kerry is hoping to extend his stay with Chesterfield until the end of the season.
The 19-year-old is enjoying his time with the Spireites, having moved to Saltergate on an initial month's loan from Sheffield United in mid-February.
He told the club's official website: "My stay ends after the Rotherham game on March 15. I have not spoken to the gaffer about it yet, but I am hoping to sign until the end of the season.
"I am enjoying it here and first-team football is what I want.
"I want to be playing week in, week out and I have more chance of doing that here.
"I want to help Chesterfield's push for promotion and hopefully that automatic promotion place is not beyond us if we keep winning and results go our away."
