Veteran striker Steve Fletcher has decided to leave Chesterfield after just one season with the League Two club.
The 35-year-old joined the Spireites from Bournemouth last summer, but has struggled to settle due to the travelling involved from his family base on the South Coast.
He told the club's official website: "It has been a difficult decision but in the end the distance away from my family is just too far.
"I want to continue my football career, but within a reasonable travelling distance of my family home.
"I am disappointed to leave because I love Chesterfield and the welcome I have received. I will always remember my time at Chesterfield."
Meanwhile, the Spireites have agreed a deal with veteran centre-back Robert Page, who will join from Huddersfield Town in the summer.
