Chesterfield have offered first professional contracts to a trio of youth team players at Saltergate. Goalkeeper Dan Whatsize, midfielder Dan Gray and forward Ben Alger have all impressed Spireites manager Lee Richardson during the course of the season. Of the teenage trio, Alger has already broken into the first team at the League Two club this season. He made his debut in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat to Hartlepool United back in September.
