Chesterfield manager Lee Richardson has finalised a deal to bring Darren Currie to Saltergate.
The experienced midfielder has penned a three-year contract with the Spireites after parting company with Luton Town.
Currie said: "Chesterfield manager Lee Richardson really sold the club to me and convinced me that this is the right place to be playing my football and it's the right move for me at this time."
Currie has scored 82 goals in 679 appearances for his ten clubs in a 14-year professional career.
