City reject Spireites' Ellison bid
The Spireites contacted Chester on Wednesday with a view to a deal for the 29-year-old but after discussions between Chester's managers and directors, the offer was turned down.[LNB]City's chief executive Bob Gray told the Liverpool Daily Post: "Obviously Chesterfield were impressed by Kevin when we played them at the Deva Stadium last weekend, but the offer they tabled was far below our valuation of the player.[LNB]"Chesterfield weren't the only club to enquire about Kevin's availability, Darlington and Bradford City also contacted us, but Chesterfield were the only club to make a firm offer."[LNB][LNB][LNB]
