Cook orders repeat showing

Chesterfield manager Paul Cook is expected to select his starting line-up to face Portsmouth from an unchanged squad.

Cook has no new injury or suspension problems following the 4-1 midweek win at Cheltenham, while midfielder Jay O'Shea is pushing for a recall following a knock which restricted him to bench duty on Tuesday night.

Midfielders Ollie Banks and Dan Gardner were recalled to the starting XI at Cheltenham and Cook must decide whether to make further changes as his side bid to retain their two-point lead at the top of the table.

Drew Talbot remains Cook's only long-term absentee with the right-back struggling to overcome an abductor problem.

Simon Ferry could be back in the Portsmouth squad for Monday night's trip.

The midfielder has been sidelined for six weeks with a back injury but has resumed training and is available, although manager Richie Barker does not want to risk him breaking down again.

Defender Joe Devera (ankle) and striker Ryan Taylor (groin) also missed the midweek win over Accrington but should be fit.

However, winger Andy Barcham could miss out again if he is still waiting for his wife to give birth while the club are due to hear if Aston Villa loanee Michael Drennan will be available having been called up to the Republic of Ireland Under-21 squad.
