No worries for Spireites

Chesterfield have no new injury problems ahead of the visit of MK Dons.

After making a goalscoring return against Huddersfield last week and getting another outing on Saturday, midfielder Ollie Banks is pushing for a place in the starting line-up following his recovery from the foot injury that prematurely ended his 2013-14 campaign.

The Dons game comes too soon for Dan Gardner (groin) but the forward could be in contention to make his first appearance of the season when the Spireites travel to Fleetwood at the weekend.

Scans have revealed that Ritchie Humphreys has a partial tear of his meniscus and the left-sided veteran is expected to be out for between six and eight weeks with the knee injury he sustained against Huddersfield.

Samir Carruthers is expected to be the only absentee for the Dons.

The midfielder's wait to make his first appearance for the club since making a permanent move to Milton Keynes will be prolonged as he is still nursing a thigh strain.

Daniel Powell's goal from the bench at Peterborough on Saturday could earn him a place in the starting line-up while former Chesterfield midfielder Mark Randall will hope to feature against his former club.

The likes of George Baldock, Tom Hitchcock and Benik Afobe are also options for manager Karl Robinson should he wish to make any changes to his starting line up.
