Gnanduillet in Spireites frame

Armand Gnanduillet comes back into the reckoning for Chesterfield as they prepare for the visit of Huddersfield in the Capital One Cup.

Gnanduillet missed out on Saturday with a minor knock as the Spireites began life back in League One with a superb 2-1 win at last season's play-off finalists Leyton Orient but the big striker is now fully fit again.

Blues boss Paul Cook has a few unnamed players struggling with illness ahead of Tuesday night's first-round tie while forward Dan Gardner is not yet over his groin problem.

Ollie Banks has recovered from the foot injury that brought a premature end to his 2013/14 campaign and fellow midfielder Daniel Johnson, on loan from Aston Villa, is eligible and could make his debut.

Huddersfield caretaker boss Mark Lillis is not expected to be boosted by the return of James Vaughan as the club begin life without former manager Mark Robins.

Vaughan, Town's top goalscorer for the last two seasons, missed the heavy opening-day home defeat to Bournemouth, which prompted Sunday's departure of Robins, due to a calf strain and is unlikely to be included.

Fellow forward Jon Stead, an unused substitute at the weekend, could feature, while defenders Murray Wallace and Tommy Smith, plus new goalkeeper Joe Murphy all hope to make their first appearances of the season.

Another defender who missed out against Bournemouth, Anthony Gerrard, is hoping to overcome a calf strain.
