Same again for Cook

Chesterfield boss Paul Cook will select from an unchanged squad against Exeter.

The same players that made up the matchday 18 at Hartlepool last weekend will be on duty again on Friday, which means another place on the bench for teenage striker Jake Beesley.

Cook hinted at his pre-match press conference on Thursday that winger Gary Roberts, the League Two player of the year, could return to the starting line-up.

Jimmy Ryan will complete a two-match suspension while fellow midfielder Ollie Banks (foot) is out for the remainder of the season but right-back Drew Talbot is expected to play again this campaign following an abductor problem.

Exeter captain Danny Coles returns to contention after he was banned for the 1-1 draw with Cheltenham and manager Paul Tisdale has to decide whether to stick with man-of-the-match Pat Baldwin or recall Coles.

The City boss also dropped number one Artur Krysiak for youngster Christy Pym and has a goalkeeping decision to make on the long trip north.

Scot Bennett was utilised as a striker on Saturday and it remains to be seen whether he remains in that position or drops back into midfield.
