Spireites wait on Morsy

Chesterfield will check on Sam Morsy ahead of the visit of fellow play-off hopefuls Doncaster.

Morsy came off as a precautionary measure against Crawley in midweek and it is hoped the combative midfielder will be okay to resume in the starting line-up on Saturday.

After Drew Talbot made his long-awaited return from injury as a late substitute on Tuesday night, the Spireites' only definite absentee is winger Gary Roberts who faces around six weeks out with a hamstring problem.

Striker Byron Harrison will come into contention following his arrival from Cheltenham for an undisclosed fee.

Doncaster have their own striker hoping to make his debut at the Proact Stadium after Rovers boss Paul Dickov this week signed Uche Ikpeazu.

Ikpeazu joined the club on loan from Watford on Wednesday and he will provide competition for Theo Robinson, Nathan Tyson and Curtis Main.

Midfielder Dean Furman may make the bench, depending when he returns from international duty at the African Nations Cup with South Africa.

Centre-half Rob Jones (knee) remains some way off a return from injury while Rovers are still awaiting international clearance from the Greek FA for midfielder Abdul Razak.
