Doyle set for Spireites return

Eoin Doyle comes back into the reckoning for Chesterfield as they prepare to host Southern League Central Division One side Daventry Town in the FA Cup.

Doyle missed the home league draw with Scunthorpe last weekend through suspension but is back to boost boss Paul Cook's options in attack for the first-round tie.

At his pre-match conference on Thursday afternoon Cook revealed that Drew Talbot, Ian Evatt, Sam Hird and Liam Cooper would form his defensive line on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Sam Morsy will be out until the new year with the knee injury he sustained against Bristol Rovers at the end of last month. Scans have shown that the midfielder has a torn medial cruciate ligament.

Calor League Central Division One side Daventry Town are confident of causing an upset in their first ever appearance in the FA Cup first round.

New signing Tom James is cup-tied and will miss out but the midfielder is Town boss Darran Foster's only absentee.

Foster is looking forward to the trip and is not ruling out the possibility of a giant-killing. He told Daventry Town's official website: "Of course we are massive underdogs in this match, but that will just help us, there will be no pressure on us whatsoever.

"There will be one FA Cup upset over this weekend, why not Daventry Town?"
