Chesterfield wait on Fulton and Jones fitness

Gary Caldwell will check on the fitness of Ryan Fulton and Dan Jones as he looks for his first win as Chesterfield boss at home to relegation rivals Bury.

Goalkeeper Fulton and left-back Jones both missed the 1-1 draw against Gillingham in midweek through illness and injury respectively.

Midfielder Jon Nolan is a new injury absentee after a hamstring problem forced him off at half-time at Priestfield.

Ched Evans did not travel to Kent because of an ankle injury and the striker will not be involved on Saturday either, as Caldwell looks for victory at the fifth time of asking.

New Bury boss Lee Clark has a doubt over in-form striker James Vaughan as he takes charge of the Shakers for the first time.

Clark joined the club from Kilmarnock this week and is under no illusions as to the size of his task as they face up to a tough League One survival battle.

Vaughan, who has scored eight goals in six games, was withdrawn midway through the midweek draw with MK Dons, but it is hoped he will pass a late fitness test.

Danny Mayor could return from his recent stomach problem but Kean Bryan, Craig Jones (both thigh), Nathan Cameron (knee) and Zeli Ismail (groin) are all set to miss out again.
