Chesterfield sweat on Dion Donohue fitness ahead of Bradford game

Dion Donohue remains an injury doubt for Chesterfield as they prepare to host Bradford.

Stand-in left-back Donohue trod on a ball in training last week, tweaked his knee and is still not fully fit despite coming on as a late substitute against Gillingham on Tuesday night.

Liam O'Neil (foot) and Tommy Lee (shoulder) hope to join in full training in the coming days but Saturday's match will come too soon for the pair.

Ched Evans continues to struggle with a heel problem and is unlikely to return to the squad.

Bradford will be without Tony McMahon and Marc McNulty, but James Hanson could return to contention.

Defender McMahon recently sustained a thigh injury in training and will be sidelined for a month, while striker McNulty was forced out of the home midweek win against Fleetwood due to a dead leg.

Fellow striker Hanson, who has started just three league games this season, is struggling with a calf injury but is hoping to be in contention.

Matt Kilgallon is pushing for his first league start for the club and fellow central defender Nathan Clarke hopes to feature for the first time this season following a calf problem.
