Buckle still pursuing Gritton

Torquay boss Paul Buckle wants to sign Chesterfield striker Martin Gritton on a permanent basis. The League Two clubs are in talks about a loan deal for the 32-year-old, who played the first-half of United`s 3-1 pre-season friendly win over Plymouth on Tuesday night. Buckle told the Herald Express: "I would like to bring Martin to the club full-time but a loan is the likeliest route. "Martin can win things in the air, he can hold the ball up and lay it off, especially when you get it to him with any quality. He's a handful. "He loved the reception he got on Tuesday. Now it's about getting the terms right for Martin and his family."
