Breckin back in the fold

Ian Breckin could return to the Chesterfield squad when the run-away league leaders host Northampton. The experienced centre-half missed the victories against Wycombe and Cheltenham through illness. However, a makeshift defence, with Scott Griffiths at centre-half and Derek Niven at full-back, impressed in both matches. Boss John Sheridan made only one change from the 4-1 win over Wycombe, with Kieran Djilali coming into the team at Cheltenham in place of Jack Lester. Sheridan`s policy of playing Lester in Chesterfield`s games at the b2net Stadium is likely to see the veteran striker return to the starting XI. Mark Allott made his return from an ankle injury as a late substitute during the 3-0 win at Cheltenham and the midfielder could be included once more.
