Boss hails hat-trick hero Lester

Chesterfield manager John Sheridan was full of praise for Jack Lester after the veteran striker bagged a hat-trick to help the npower League Two leaders sink Stockport 4-1. Lester's second strike was a particularly eye-catching effort after County had gone in level at the break due to Dwayne Mattis' own goal. "Jack Lester won us the game, his second goal was one of the best I've seen, but he's scored many a goal like that. It's just a shame he's not five years younger." Former Oldham boss Sheridan was also at pains to share the praise around the whole team after a fine second-half display proved to be too much for the visitors who held their own for long periods. "I think our second half performance was really good," he added. "They played a system which was giving us a problem but I think once we changed the system and matched them up we were the better side."
