Anthony Charles grabbed his first goal of the season as Aldershot stretched their unbeaten run to eight games.The visitors twice went close early on, with Jack Lester denied by Ben Herd's fine tackle, and Ian Morris forcing a superb save from Mikhael Jaimez-Ruiz. Lester also hit the post with a header and while Spireites keeper Tommy Lee was also busy, diverting Simon Jackson's cross onto the bar.
