Accrington 1-0 Chesterfield

25 April 2009 05:26
Bobby Grant's first goal for Accrington dashed Chesterfield's hopes of making the League Two play-offs. Grant twice went close and Jimmy Ryan saw his shot cleared off the line as Stanley made the early running. [LNB] Five minutes after the break Peter Cavanagh's long pass was spectacularly volleyed in from 25 yards by Grant. [LNB] Chesterfield's hopes ended on a sour note when skipper and division's leading scorer, Jack Lester was shown a straight red card for dissent.
