Chester City boss Mark Wright has slammed sections of the Blues fans who barracked skipper Stephen Vaughan during the 2-0 defeat by Swindon Town.
Vaughan, son of the City chairman, also named Stephen Vaughan, was booed after being named as the man of the match on Friday evening and Wright was less than impressed.
He told the Daily Post: "As a player you accept abuse from opposition supporters, but when it comes from a section of your own fans, it beggars belief.
"Stephen is in the team on merit, I select the side and it is totally my decision who plays. I just wish all our supporters got behind the team in a positive fashion.
"Unfortunately, this sort of thing gets to all the players in the team. Because he is the chairman's son, Stephen seems to unfortunately attract this type of abuse."
