      Wright not quitting Chester

      25 Mar 2009 - 14:23:04

Mark Wright will remain in charge of Chester City despite admitting over the weekend that he was considering his future with the League Two strugglers.

Wright, who is currently in his third spell at the helm of the Blues, threatened to walk away from the Deva Stadium after being unable to sign new players.

Property developer Gary Metcalf has yet to officially complete his takeover of the club which dropped into the relegation zone at the weekend.

"The deal hasn't gone through yet with the new owner and I came here for the chairman Stephen Vaughan," Wright told the Chester Chronicle.

"I think the fans have been absolutely brilliant, not only to me but also to the players. For everyone's sake, the right thing to do is to stay here and try and keep this club in the Football League."
