Upbeat Wright keeps the faith

Chester City Mark Wright has not given up hope of his side clinging on to their League Two status.

Saturday's 2-0 home defeat against Bournemouth left City four points adrift away from safety with only two matches of the campaign remaining.

However Wright told the Evening Leader: "The players were very deflated and felt sorry for themselves after Saturday's defeat, but they've got to forget about that because they're still in it if we can get a win at Aldershot.

"We know what we have to do. We've got to go to Aldershot and win. Grimsby and Bournemouth play each other and both can't win.

"So it will leave it open and, if we can win, and we have to win it, that leaves it open to the last game."
