Roberts hopes for brighter future

Published: 22 May 2009 - 15:26:29

The Blues have been forced to voluntarily enter administration but 19-year-old Roberts is confident any potential points deduction will "act as an incentive to start strong" come August. "It's a traumatic time for everybody concerned," he told the Chester Evening Leader. I've never known the club to be in a worse situation now that they are in administration. "But that's the reality and now hopefully we can get out of these problems as soon as possible. "I've heard rumours that there are a few people who are interested in buying the club and I hope something can be resolved very soon. I've still got one year left on my contract and I've not been in contact with the club lately but Chester did tell me they would get in touch." Meanwhile, the club have confirmed goalkeeper John Danby has been offered a new deal.
