Partridge set to leave Chester

Published: 26 May 2009 - 13:35:53

The winger is one of several experienced players likely to leave Chester, who recently moved into voluntary administration. He told the Evening Leader: "I've not spoken to the manager but I don't think I'm going to be at Chester next season, which is a shame because they are a good little club. "Chester have got a young squad and, although I'm still a Chester player, my contract runs out at the end of June. "I've been given permission to speak to other clubs and there have been a couple of sniffs from other clubs but nothing concrete and I don't feel it's appropriate to say any more until anything is confirmed." Partridge, 28, started his career as a trainee at Liverpool and had spells at Bristol Rovers, Coventry, Sheffield Wednesday and Rotherham before joining Chester in June 2007.
