Mozika suspended by Blues

Chester City have suspended midfielder Damien Mozika for "serious breaches of club discipline".

The 22-year-old Frenchman has been suspended in the build-up to Saturday's must-win League Two clash with Aldershot Town.

The Blues must win to stand any realistic chance of avoiding relegation to the Blue Square Premier League.

"We've been left with no alternative but to reach this decision," said owner Stephen Vaughan.

"The player's been involved in some unacceptable behaviour during the past fortnight, which are without doubt serious breaches of club discipline.

"Apparently, two clubs have shown interest in signing the player and I wonder if this interest has been part of the motivation behind Mozika's unacceptable behaviour.

"We shall be retaining the player's registration and having further discussions with his agent."
