Chester City have handed a first professional contract to teenage striker Paul McManus.
McManus, 17, has impressed the City management with his goalscoring exploits at both Puma Youth Alliance and Pontins Reserve League level and has put pen to paper on a one-year contract.
Speaking after Tuesday's 2-1 victory over Grimsby Town, Chester boss Bobby Williamson admitted he was short of numbers.
"We've got a good squad of players and they are all working hard, but we are running out of players to be honest," he told the club's official website.
