Chester City owner Stephen Vaughan has confirmed that the club turned down several approaches for winger Kevin Ellison on loan deadline day.
The 29-year-old almost rejoined Stockport County in the January transfer window, but stuck with the Blues and will be at the Deva Stadium at least until the end of the season.
Vaughan told the Evening Leader: "The loan transfer deadline has been and gone. There had been a lot of speculation surrounding Kevin Ellison's future.
"A number of approaches had been made, including inquiries from Wrexham and Darlington.
"But Kevin Ellison is contracted to Chester City until 2010 and that is the end of the matter."
