Caretaker manager Simon Davies is still hopeful of being given the Chester City job on a full-time basis.
The Blues have won just one of their eight games since he replaced Bobby Williamson in the hot-seat last month.
Davies was initially handed the reins until the end of the season, but is keen to secure the club's survival before sitting down to discuss his own future.
"If I was offered it I would take it," Davies told the Chester Standard.
"There's a lot of lads who want a bit of stability, but the sooner we get those points a lot of questions can be answered."
