Chester City goalkeeper John Danby celebrated his new contract with a superb display in the 1-1 draw at Rotherham United.
The 23-year-old joined City in the summer of 2006 from Kidderminster Harriers and established himself as the undoubted number one at the Deva Stadium.
Last week he put pen to paper on a new deal to keep him at Chester until the summer of 2009 and showed why he has won an extended stay with an excellent performance against the Millers.
Youngster Kevin Roberts also won praise from manager Bobby Williamson after his equaliser at Millmoor.
He told the Daily Post: "John Danby was outstanding and it was pleasing to see young Kevin Roberts getting on to the scoresheet in only his second league game."
