Chester City have agreed to release forward Drewe Broughton from his contract.
The well-travelled targetman has spent most of the past campaign on loan at Boston United where he scored eight times in 26 appearances.
"Drewe Broughton requested his release, so we have paid him a proportion of his outstanding contract which will enable him to join another club," confirmed City chairman Stephen Vaughan.
Meanwhile, Chester are reportedly close to releasing defender David Artell and midfielder Alex Meechan.
"I envisage that there will be some more personnel movement in the next week or so as we build up to the start of the 2007/08 season," added Vaughan.
