Blundell blow for City

Thursday Nov 24 2005 14:07

Chester City striker Gregg Blundell faces another two weeks on the sidelines as he continues to battle back from injury.

The former Doncaster Rovers forward sustained a head injury in last month's match with Rochdale and has not played since.

City boss Keith Curle told the Chester Evening Leader: "Gregg was told by a specialist that he needed to rest for another two weeks because there was still a chance of rupturing his haematoma.

"The news came as a real body blow to Gregg and to everyone at the club, because Gregg has been chomping at the bit after being sat in the stand during the last few weeks.

"But people seem to forget that we have been doing well for the last few weeks without our star striker."
