Chester City have completed the signing of striker Nathan Lowndes on a two-year contract.
The 30-year-old was a free agent after leaving Port Vale, having previously played under Blues boss Bobby Williamson while the pair were at Plymouth Argyle.
Lowndes has also had spells with Rotherham United and Watford, as well as stints in Scotland with Livingston and St Johnstone.
Blues chairman Stephen Vaughan told the Chester Chronicle: "Nathan is the first piece in the jigsaw, a League One striker.
"This is the calibre of player that we'll be bringing into the club next season."
