Blues given keeper go-ahead
09 Apr 2009 - 11:30:05
Chester City have been given permission by the Football League to bring in a goalkeeper following John Danby's season-ending injury.
Blues boss Mark Wright has been given dispensation to bring in an emergency loan keeper to play in the final five matches of the League Two season after Danby picked up a shoulder injury during last weekend's 2-1 win at Notts County.
Struggling City do not have another senior goalkeeper at the club.
"There's loads of keepers out there but it's more a matter of whether they want to come to us because we're in a relegation battle," Wright told the Chester Chronicle.
"So we need to find someone who not only wants to come here, but who is good enough as well."
