Tranmere Coming to the Deva

Chester will entertain neighbours Tranmere Rovers in a prestigious pre-season friendly at the Deva Stadium next month. Les Parry's League One outfit will visit the Deva Stadium on Tuesday, July 27 (7pm kick-off). The Blues were scheduled to host the Welsh Premier League's Bangor City the following night, but that match will now be rescheduled. Chester are confident of attracting at least one more Premier League club to the Deva after Roberto Martinez agreed to send a Wigan Athletic side to his old stomping ground on Sunday, August 1. // '); // ]]> Rhyl have also announced they will welcome the Blues to their Belle Vue home on Saturday, July 17. Chester's pre-season schedule so far is: July 10 Colwyn Bay (A), July 17 Rhyl (A), July 20 Airbus UK Broughton (A), July 27 Tranmere Rovers (H), August 1 Wigan Athletic (H). The Blues are likely to kick-off their Evo-Stik League Division One North season the week commencing August 23.
