Exiles bucket collection thanks
Chester Exiles raise over £1,000 at AFC Wimbledon v Wrexham match. Exiles press officer Sue Chourlaton has thanked all those who mada a contribution at the game. "Just to let you know that we raised an amazing £1,112.13 at the AFC Wimbledon bucket collection", she said. "All the Wrexham fans we spoke to were very supportive and generous, so it was a real morale booster for us as well". Exiles chair, Pauline Meakins, said: “The support shown by other football clubs, particularly AFC Wimbledon for generously allowing us to stage this collection and the messages of support from many of the fans of our old enemy Wrexham, has meant so much to us over the past few terrible months. It has given us a lot of strength and a real hope for the future of football in Chester. We thank everyone very much.”
