Yates: It wasn`t good enough, again
Mark Yates was left to reflect on another poor home performance as his Cheltenham side went down 2-1 to Aldershot. The visitors took the lead when Anthony Charles coolly stroked home as Town failed to clear a Darren Jones free-kick.Peter Vincenti pounced on more indecision in the home rearguard to double the Shots` lead, with the lacklustre Robins grabbing a late consolation through Michael Pook before pushing for an equaliser which did not come.Yates said: "I think anyone could have come into our dressing room and said what I have just said - it wasn't good enough."I am sick of saying that to be fair. It was a nothing game and they haven't had too many chances and neither have we. We have conceded soft goals and if you do that, you'll always be up against it."I am not going to kid myself that in the last 10 minutes we had a little go because it wasn't good enough. I apologise for everyone's performance - mine and the team's, but we have to keep going. That dressing room hasn't been too heated but I am sick of saying about basics and desire."
