Town withdraw loan request

Cheltenham Town have withdrawn their application to secure a £100,000 loan from the local council to boost the club's coffers.
In March and at the height of their financial difficulties this season, the Robins applied for the commercial loan.
However, the League Two-bound club's board are now more optimistic about the state of their finances.
"Although cash flow remains tight at the club, the directors are confident the cost-saving measures they have undertaken, combined with some new alternative income streams which could not have been anticipated at the time of the original application, mean the loan is no longer required," read a club statement.
"The club would like to place on record its appreciation for the hard work and support of the borough council officers and staff who have been involved so far."
