Robins win delights Allen

Cheltenham Town boss Martin Allen was delighted with his side's performance in their 2-1 victory at Leyton Orient.

The Robins boosted their survival hopes with a solid display at Brisbane Road, with Ian Westlake grabbing the winner 12 minutes from time.

Allen told the club's official website: "We passed the ball superbly well on a wet pitch.

"The team played great football and we could have capitalised on some good positions in the first half to go further ahead. It wasn't just spirit it was also the quality of the play that was impressive.

"In the last 15 minutes they all put their bodies on the line, they were organised and competitive and it was a good victory.

"There is a long way to go and a lot of games to be played. It was a good performance, but there is always room for improvement. We are heading in the right direction, though."
