Robins trio set to stay on
31 Dec 2008 - 11:38:08
Cheltenham Town are hoping to secure the future of three key players ahead of the opening of the transfer window on January 1.
Barry Hayles , Elvis Hammond and Darren Kenton are all being offered the chance to stay at the club for the start of 2009.
If Leicester accept the loan offer for Hayles it would be the third spell at Whaddon Road for the 36-year-old striker, who is the club's joint top-scorer this season with four goals.
Meanwhile Hammond and Kenton are both expected to accept full-time contracts after being brought to the club on short-term deals earlier this term.
"We are in negotiations with all three at the moment," confirmed Robins boss Martin Allen.
"We are nearly sorted with Elvis and Darren and hopefully this week we will get those deals done."
