Robins suffer Bird blow
23 Sep 2008 - 13:48:26
Cheltenham Town midfielder Dave Bird is unlikely to play again until mid-November after breaking a toe in the defeat at Millwall.
The 23-year-old will be forced to use crutches for the next fortnight after being told he has minor fractures in two of the bones in the toe.
Meanwhile, the Robins have decided to appeal against Barry Hayles' red card in the loss to the Lions for violent conduct.
Hayles, who was dismissed for a late tackle on Millwall skipper Paul Robinson, will be suspended for three matches if the appeal fails.
