Robins snare striker on loan

Cheltenham Town have added Wolves striker Ashley Hemmings to their struggling ranks on loan.

Hemmings, 18, has joined the League One basement side on an initial one-month deal.

"Ashley is a very quick, left-footed centre forward who gets in behind defenders and scores goals," manager Martin Allen told the club's official website.

"You have to pay big money to get goal scorers. Last season this club had Steven Gillespie and Steve Brooker and this season we've had Barry Hayles.

"We've not been able to replace him so it's been a struggle in that direction, but I know Ashley is a talented young player.

"I'm looking for him to add something to our team over the next few games."
