    Robins edge amazing 11-goal thriller

    13 Mar 2010 - 17:35:03

A Michael Pook hat-trick helped relegation-threatened Cheltenham Town record a remarkable 6-5 win over Burton Albion who had led 5-3 with just five minutes remaining.

Braces from Steven Kabba and Shaun Harrad and an own goal by Michael Townsend had put the home side 5-3 up. But a brace from Justin Richards and a goal by Medy Alito along with Pook's stunning hat-trick in the last ten minutes left the hosts stunned.

Barnet lost 2-1 to Accrington Stanley thanks to a Billy Kee winner with six minutes remaining in a game which ended with both sides reduced to ten men following red cards for Stanley goalkeeper Ian Dunbavin and Barnet's Clovis Kamdjo.

John O'Flynn had put the home side ahead from the spot but Philip Edwards drew the visitors level before Kee struck late on.

Despite conceding an early goal to Anthony Straker, Bradford City hit back through James Hanson and Omar Daley to take all three points against Aldershot Town.

Marc Richards scored a hat-trick to help Port Vale record a fantastic 5-0 win at Chesterfield. Robert Taylor got the opener for the visitors, before Richards wrapped up the points in style and Craig Davies scored the fifth from the spot late on.

Adam Le Fondre scored the only goal of the game to give Rotherham a narrow 1-0 win over Dagenham & Redbridge.

Ben Wright put Macclesfield 1-0 up against ten-man Bury, who had Ryan Lowe sent off just before half-time. Substitute Craig Lindfield then doubled the home side's lead to wrap up the three points just before the hour mark.

Paul Mullin put Morecambe up against Grimsby Town just before the break but Michael Coulson levelled for the visitors just before the hour mark to leave the score 1-1.

John Johnson and Abdul Osman provided the goals to give Northampton a fourth straight victory, this time Darlington were on the end of the 2-0 defeat.

Joe Thompson scored the only goal of the game to give Rochdale a 1-0 win at Shrewsbury Town.

Scott Rendell scored his ninth goal of the season to put Torquay ahead just before the break but Clayton Donaldson equalised for Crewe with just five minutes left on the clock.
