Robins confirm Pook deal

Cheltenham Town have signed Michael Pook following the midfielder's release by Swindon Town.

The 23-year-old was released by the League One outfit in May and will now make the step down to League Two.

Robins manager Martin Allen revealed that Pook accepted much lower terms than his contract at the County Ground.

"Michael will join us at the start of August and that means we will have cover in all positions," Allen told BBC Radio Gloucestershire.

"The money we've offered is within our wage budget, which is important, but he certainly hasn't won the lottery by signing for us."

Pook becomes Allen's sixth signing of the summer.
