Cheltenham Town have signed free agent striker Elvis Hammond on a short-term contract.
The 28-year-old worked with Robins boss Martin Allen at former club Leicester City, but has been without a club since an ankle injury forced his release by the Foxes at the end of last season.
"Elvis has had a torrid time with injuries. He has been unemployed but has trained with us for ten days and is looking sharp," Allen told the club's official website.
"With hard work and dedication, Elvis has the ability to play higher.
"It is a gamble on my part, but hopefully Elvis can get us singing and dancing."
Meanwhile, Allen has confirmed he has taken Lee Ridley off the transfer list at Whaddon Road.
