Pook picks up armband

Michael Pook has been named as Cheltenham`s new captain following the departure of Shane Duff.Town boss Mark Yates considered new signing Steve Elliot as a possible skipper but felt that the time was right for Pook.He said: "Michael is well liked around the whole group and he's the right type. He is the captain for me."I could have easily given the captaincy to Steve Elliot but I don't think he needs the armband to be a leader because he will do that anyway."Pooky showed me what he was all about last season and when things weren't going right he always had a positive attitude and put in top performances."
