McCann bides his time

Cheltenham Town midfielder Grant McCann has warned that he may decide to move on at the end of the season to try his luck at a higher level.

The 26-year-old Northern Ireland international has been with the Robins for nearly four years, but is out of contract next summer.

He told the Gloucestershire Echo: "I have been offered a contract and I haven't said I will be leaving or anything like that.

"I am waiting to see what happens and I want to keep my options open.

"League One is a good standard, but if someone gave me the chance to play at a higher level I'd have to think seriously about it."
