Gillespie boosts Robins

Cheltenham Town striker Steven Gillespie is expected to make a quickfire return to action after a hip injury proved not to be too serious.

The 22-year-old missed the 2-1 home defeat by Swansea City on Tuesday evening, but could be back in the Robins fold by next weekend, or the week after at the very worst.

Sports therapist Ian Weston told the club's official website: "This is good news because, given the discomfort Steven has been experiencing, we feared that the injury could have been a long-term one.

"But the scan is showing no significant injury, so it is now a case of waiting for it to settle down before making a further decision.

"I would say he is still doubtful for Saturday's game, but hopefully we will be able to look at the Doncaster Rovers match the following week for him."
